Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is responsible for 50-80% of all IBS and is commonly the root cause of patient's leaky gut and acquired food sensitivities. Besides classic GI symptoms of gas, bloating, diarrhea and constipation; SIBO can also be the root cause behind headaches, fatigue, anxiety, depression, fibromyalgia, muscle weakness, joint pains, chronic inflammation and neuropathic disorders.
Dr. Bush will define and describe common presenting symptoms of patients with SIBO. He will detail physical exam findings and explain how to incorporate breath testing to properly assess SIBO activity. Preparation diet, interfering factors and tips to improve the patients testing experience will be reviewed. Dr. Bush will provide the essentials required to properly diagnose and treat SIBO including treatment protocols using Nutri-Dyn distributed products. Protocols and treatment algorithm will be provided. Case studies provided to highlight clinical application.
